Bilcil Borehole (Well) Project
In March 2020, Subterranean Water Experts (SWEX) was commissioned by HELPLIFE FOUNDATION, to carry out hydrogeological borehole site investigations at Bilcil village located approximately 120 km SSE of Ceerigabo Town, Ceerigabo District in Sanaag Region, Somalia.
The Client intends to drill a borehole to provide water supply for domestic and livestock uses for the community. Further fieldwork was carried out on 1st August 2021 after the community requested for the recommended site to be relocated further away from the village to avoid disturbance by livestock once the borehole is drilled.

The 2016 and 2017 Drought in Somalia
In 2016 and 2017, RSDARG sent over $30,000 to drought victims in Somali for food and supplies. All of the funds were from Somali diaspora or in-kind donations from US foundations.
