Relief Programs

  • From 2021 to 2022 RSDARG helped the drought affected areas of Jubaland by pooling the resources of Somalis throughout the world.
  • In 2020, RSDARG built and rehabilitated the school in Kudha town of Badhadhe District in the southern Lower Juba region of Jubaland, Somalia.
  • In 2016 and 2017, RSDARG sent over $30,000 to drought victims in Somali for food and supplies. All of the funds from Somali diaspora or in-kind donations from US foundations.
  • In 2015, RSDARG sent $3,000,000 (three million dollars) worth of medicine and supplies to Daryel Clinic in Kismayo, Alnur Foundation in Mogadishu, and Garowe and Lasanod Hospitals.In 2014, RSDARG shipped four, 40-feet containers of medical equipment (each worth $180,000) and supplies to Somalia—two containers to Lasanod Hospital and two containers to Benadir University in Mogadishu.
  • In 2013, RSDARG shipped a $400,000 worth of health care and medical supplies to Kismayo General Hospital, Somalia.
  • In 2012, RSDARG shipped a 40-feet container of health care supplies and a 40-feet container of relief household goods to Buhodle, Lasnod, Taleh and Hudun, Somalia.
  • In 2010 to 2011, RSDARG raised funds and sent humanitarian assistance to Somalia in the form of building primary schools in Awrbogays, Somalia by purchasing desks and chairs for the primary school and paying the salaries of the teachers.
  • In 2004 RSDARG partnered with Huddun Development Organization (HDO) and raised funds from the Somali diaspora who wanted to assist Somalia, as well as non-governmental organizations (NGO’s). The project was named RSDARG – HDO and raised funds which funded the following projects:
  • Built and distributed school equipment and supplies to Huddun High School in Somalia.
  • Added two more rooms to Awrbogays Intermediate School in Somalia.
  • Distributed school equipment and supplies to Huddun Intermediate School and Awrboogays Intermediate School.
